Discover our stories about sustainability in which we teach our children the importance of a natural balance, as well as our projects with which we support natural living.
In our first story “The Secret of the Little Girl” we read about the prince from Castleland who learns from a little girl who lives in Wonderland how important sustainability is. In our second story, the “Song of Whaley,” we and our whale sing a song that Whaley wrote to people to prevent plastic waste in the oceans.
Another project to support a natural life is “the polar bear family”. We donated part of our profits from our polar bear collection to an aid organization that supports the continued existence of polar bears.
“Protect the Koala” is a project created in response to the wildfires in Australia (2019-2020). With the profits from our T-shirts with Koala design, which were produced exclusively for the project, we have committed ourselves to the regeneration of the destroyed areas.
Not only is the clothing of the children important to us, but also the education and upbringing of the children. That's why we developed a children's booklet in which our protagonist Whaley tells our children what it means to be environmentally conscious and what effects pollution of the earth can have on marine life. This is how we convey concepts such as sustainability and recycling to our children, because Walkiddy's corporate philosophy not only stands for sustainable children's fashion, but also for sustainable upbringing and education for children.
In 2021 we started a project to protect polar bears. We donated part of the money generated from our items with the polar bear design to the People for Polar Bears Foundation. The protection of living beings on earth is of the utmost importance to us and should be supported and encouraged at all times.
The importance of sustainability is particularly evident in stormy times like today. Because if we do not protect and preserve our beautiful earth through sustainability, it could be that our children will no longer notice the beauty of the world in the future. It is therefore very important to us to reach as many people as possible in order to inspire people to lead a sustainable lifestyle.
Our resolution for 2023 is to introduce and present our sustainable Walkiddy products at trade fairs in order to convince more people of sustainable baby and children's fashion. Because our Walkiddy products are not only gems for sensitive baby and children's skin, but also a source of sustainability.
Participation in the CIFF trade fairs on February 1st - 3rd, 2023 in Copenhagen, Denmark and Playtime Paris on January 28th - 30th, 2023 in Paris, France are supported with funds from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). We would like to thank WTSH and the European Union for their support.
